[http://bbsrc.ac.uk BBSRC] has led the definition of the [http://www.bbsrc.ac.uk/research/briefings/bioeconomy/ Bioeconomy] in an effort to highlight and present the impacts and output of research investments. The Bioeconomy is defined as:

[https://www.gov.uk/government/organisations/department-for-business-energy-and-industrial-strategy BEIS] are now requesting [https://beisgovuk.citizenspace.com/im/uk-bioeconomy-call-for-evidence/ evidence] to describe the scale and impact of the bioeconomy.
